Acts of the Apostles [2:36-39]
“Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”
Now when they heard this, they were pierced to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brethren, what shall we do?”
Peter said to them, “Repent, and each of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins; and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
“For the promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off, as many as the Lord our God will call to Himself.” [1]

So much of the basis of our Faith is tied up in this Scripture. What a Joy it is to be among the Called…..to have the assurance of our Salvation and His Promises. Lord grant that we remain diligent, obediently persevering in His work that many more may be called to His Honor and Glory.

Dear beloved one thank you so much for visiting and following holdingforthhisword. I completely concur with the other commenter. The Lord reminded me of a verse from Scripture today that pierced my heart and mind with His love for mankind, Lamentations 3:32-33:
Though He causes grief, Yet He will show compassion According to the multitude of His mercies. For He does not afflict willingly, Nor grieve the children of men.
And those two verses bring us right back to Peter’s message to those who crucified our glorious Lord and Savior. Praise God for His great love and mercy towards us, who only deserve His rebuke and condemnation. God bless us.
