LIVING IN THE MIRACLE REALM: Miracles Are Real (1)

Miraculous works were not only a sign proving the legitimacy and authority of the Lord Jesus and His ministry, they were vital to carrying it out. His overall ministry has never ceased but continued with His original disciples and continues at present. In order to achieve what the Lord has called us to achieve we must use every ministry tool and weapon that He used. We must live in the Miracle Realm.

.

THE MIRACLE REALM

All of us wonder sometimes why our prayers are not answered. We wonder why we feel so out of touch spiritually and why the Lord seems to be a million miles away. While such things happen from time to time for dedicated disciples, for most Christians, they happen all the time.

This is one reason: The majority of Christians in the world have never entered the Miracle Realm.

         Let me explain.

The Lord Jesus said His real disciples would do the same things He did. Before we go further, please focus on His words in the following passage:

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father.” [John 14:12] [1]

Now, consider that. The Lord spoke these words very sincerely. He left no doubt as to their meaning. The words apply to every real believer from that time until the present. He said that every REAL believer will do the same works that He did during His ministry and would also do even greater works.

         Now consider the following phenomena:

The Lord Jesus could actually SEE otherwise invisible demons.

The Lord was also well-acquainted with angels, as were the members of His early Community. You remember that Peter was busted out of jail by a walking talking angel the night before he was to be executed. Joseph, the Lord’s human father, had one dream after another featuring an actual angel appearing to him in dreams and giving him specific commands.

The Lord Jesus Himself appeared to Paul on more than one occasion.

All of these things happened as a matter of course in early Christian history. For most Christians since and for most Christians at present these kinds of things NEVER happen. Most Christian leaders are so out of touch spiritually they have joined the devil in claiming such things no longer happen, can’t happen, and haven’t happened since the first century. And because of this, most Christians have been taught to NOT believe.

In other words, if it doesn’t happen to me or at my church then it simply can’t be real.

This is what I term Surface-Oriented Christianity. It’s not spiritually real. It has no power. Whatever the denomination, it is as unreal as the day is long. I am not judging the hearts of individuals, but merely agreeing with the actual teachings and ministry of the Lord Jesus and standing on His Words instead of the words of any other.

Let me explain something even further. As a follower of the Lord, I have been around a long time. I am very familiar with Catholic churches, Protestant churches of almost every form, Non-denominational churches, and many Pentecostal and Charismatic churches. I am very familiar with mega churches and many forms of small home groups. I could go on. I have been to roughly a million Christian services and meetings and conferences of pretty much any and every form.

But very rarely, relatively speaking, have I seen or experienced the works the Lord did during His ministry.

BUT I HAVE SEEN THEM. THEY DO EXIST.

It is just that, again, relatively speaking regarding all Christian experience and considering all denominations, the Lord’s miraculous works are very rare. Everyone knows this. Some Christians even think they don’t happen at all and never could.

There are reasons for this. I can tell you exactly what those reasons are, but I also know that most Christians are simply not interested. For the few who are interested and really want to break through and be used of God in a mighty way, stayed tuned…

  1. When I was first saved, born again, or whatever way one is to phrase it, I read in the Bible Moses talked to God mouth to mouth. I said I want to do that.. I was told God does not do that anymore we have the Bible and that is how God talks to us. I ask where is that written in the Bible? As for me I need to hear God’s voice, how about you? By the way I can’t wait for the rest of what you have to teach me my heart and mind is ready. Blessings, James

    • Thank you, James. You are blessed. The Lord is the Teacher. I remember an 18-Part Bible Study Series I wrote many years ago for my home group, revealed to me by the Lord, in which He explained the simplicity of communication with Him through Abraham’s initial experience. I will quote from it:

        Genesis 12:

1 “Now the Lord said to Abram”

The very first thing that happens between God and Abram is the fact that God speaks to him. The second thing which must take place is that Abram must hear. The result of these two is spiritual communication.

God speaks + Abram hears = spiritual communication

        Question #1:

How is it possible to hear the voice of God?

What did Abram do to be able to communicate with God? He was not some special man in the sense that he was better than everyone else or had some gift that no one else had. He was simply a normal average guy. What made him different? The following tells us a little more about the makeup of Abram:

“…Abram called on the name of the LORD.” [Genesis 13:4]

This is the first time in which it was recorded that Abram did this, but he obviously had been doing so for a while. He must have been calling on the name of the Lord before he was ever given instructions to go to the land of Canaan.

But what does it mean to call on the name of the Lord? It does not mean to simply call out to God. The meaning is much deeper. It involves a person calling out from the depths of his soul to his heavenly Father. It involves doing this in a very worshipful manner. It involves an acknowledgement by the person that God is to be respected and honored and treated with great dignity and grace. It also involves humility. In the above verse, the word LORD is used, but the actual word is the very name of God—YHWH. Abram wasn’t merely calling out to some “god.” He was calling on the name of the one, true God. He was calling Him by name.

        THE NAME OF GOD

YHWH is defined as “The self-existent or eternal One.” It first appears in Genesis 2:4. Before this name had become known to Abram, it was known and honored primarily by Adam, Abel, Seth, and Noah. Abram was the eleventh generational descendent from Noah.

HOW DOES THE NAME YHWH RELATE TO OUR LORD JESUS?

      1) “Jesus” is from the Greek Iesous
      2) “Iesous” is from the Hebrew Yehoshua
      3) “Yehoshua” is a combination of two Hebrew words: YHWH and yasha
      4) The Hebrew word “yasha” {yaw-shah’} is defined as:

      1) to save, be saved, be delivered
1a1) to be liberated, be saved, be delivered
1a2) to be saved (in battle), be victorious
      1b1) to save, deliver
1b2) to save from moral troubles
      1b3) to give victory to

      5) Thus, JESUS means “YHWH saves

I hope this gives some insight. Be blessed, my brother.

  2. I’m trying to catch up on reading your posts. This is a spiritual feast I don’t want to miss out on. I do know the Lord Jesus wants us to move out into the spirit realm. But I’m surely having a hard time breaking into that these days…I’m not sure if it’s me, the “neighborhood” or both. But one thing I do know, what you’re talking about is very real. Please keep it up…..we need this kind of teaching. Nowadays, it’s nearly revolutionary.

    • Thank you, Scarlett. The Lord is GOOD. I appreciate your support.

The Lord Jesus is present. Though the accounts say He returned to heaven when He ascended from the Mount of Olives, the accounts also say He continued to work with the disciples on earth. Like so many other spiritual things, some have been taught a very elementary form of Christianity and thus have a hard time figuring out how the Lord Jesus can be in two places at once. The concept of heaven is also hard for some, but “heaven,” as you know, is not “way up there somewhere and far away,” but is simply the place where the Lord reigns and has full authority. It is a spiritual place. It is also on the earth. He brought the kingdom with Him, for example. His kingdom is wherever He is King.

So, once the kingship of the Lord is established in a place the Lord can rule from that place. The Lord had never ruled (100%) from within a human being until He became a human being, for example.

At Pentecost, in the Upper Room, a powerful form of the visible presence of the Lord was manifested as a great ball of Light/Fire, and then this great ball began separating into 120 parts, and each part went to the top of each person’s head, and the Holy Spirit of the Lord Jesus then entered into each person present, and the spirit of each person was united as one with the Holy Spirit. This was the establishment of the rule of the Lord Jesus in each person. This is how the Lord extends His rule. He must rule our hearts. He must be resident within us. We must yield to Him for this to happen. The last member of the human body to yield is also the most rebellious—the tongue, or, our speech. When a person’s speech changes dramatically for the better primarily by speaking languages he or she never learned or prophesying or speaking something powerfully vocal and spiritual as a sign that the tongue has been tamed, it is a spiritual sign that something powerful has happened. It is the sign that the Lord Jesus and another person have become spiritually united.

This is the true revolutionary nature of real Christianity. Until a person has this great experience the kingdom has not been established within that person. For those who have had this experience the potential of miraculous works becomes possible with spiritual maturity.

      This is the Miracle Realm.

Be blessed. Break out into the green pastures.
