REBIRTH OF AMERICAN CHRISTIAN MANHOOD

The greatest expression of manhood is the Lord Jesus. He is the only correct example. The era of frauds is over. Real American Christian men want to be like Him.

.

THIS IS INDEED A SPIRITUAL REVOLUTION

I’ve written about this phenomenon in the past, for several years. My particular priority on the issue, since this is a Christian website, is to focus on the dearth of real men within general organized Christianity. What happened? It is really a sad state of affairs.

Many American men have been blessed to have had their born again experience among people who put no shackles on the fullest expression of the Lord within an individual, whatever that expression might be. Though they had already proven their manhood prior to their new birth, getting filled with the powerful Spirit of the Lord, just like those people back on the Day of Pentecost, suddenly transported them into an ultra level of manhood—spiritual manhood—that can never be explained to the unexperienced.

The Lord Jesus knew what He was doing when He invented the whole thing. He was fixing to send His men into a dark, evil world, a veritable spiritual jungle, to rescue the lost and all those overcome by the devil’s evil kingdom. For all the sissy religious eggheads who think He would do such a thing without equipping them properly are probably as stupid as they look. He obviously knew the level of fight His men would face from untold numbers of demon-possessed idiots and shrill followers of religious nutcases as ignorant as the day is long and prone to hateful eruptions of emotional tornados and earthquakes on a moment’s notice.

So the Lord thought, “What do I give them so they can compete and overcome? What force must fuel the Gospel? What kind of power will give them a chance against such powerful entrenched evil? I know. I will give them Myself.”

So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.” And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” [John 20:21-22]

And there you have it. The Lord made it possible to be filled with His Spirit so we can go out and do the same thing He did, which is namely kicking the devil’s backside all over creation.

“The Church is not only supposed to be loving, kind, and gentle, but also able to kick the corpulent posteriors of demons and take their names.” From: Real Christianity

That is why the men He chose and sent were powerful, gritty, sinewy, stalwart men with strong backbones and fisherman’s hands—blue collar workers for the most part—to turn the tide against the hardhearted silly girly men who liked dressing up like ladies in fine embroidery doing their best Louis the Fourteenth and having hissy fits on a regular basis.

HE WENT OUT CONQUERING AND TO CONQUER

But the Lord’s men, these Apostles, those champions of the world, as manly as they were, would be no match for the evil minions of the mission at hand if they only acted from mere natural strength, even if they could whip any other men on the planet. No, they would need more. Besides, the Lord was not sending them out to beat people up but just the opposite: They would have to be strong enough to take a beating without striking back. They would have to love in a world filled with hate.

But not against the devil. The Lord empowered them to crush the devil. The Lord has clearly instructed that the fight is never against people. He said He did not come to condemn the world but to save it. We are all in this fight together and the battle is for people, that we may all be set free from the destructive power of sin. It is the devil that opposes this. He wants no one to be saved, set free, and delivered. He obviously wants no one to be filled with the Spirit of the Lord because he knows such people can crush him. People do themselves a grave disservice by agreeing with the devil and siding with the devil in their opposition to the only One who can save them. This is also part of the devil’s work, of course. The devil deceives people into believing he is their friend and the Lord is the enemy.

This is why, against the devil and all his unseen demon idiots, the Lord intended a no-holds-barred slugfest of utter destruction and evisceration. The devil’s kingdom must be raided and invaded so people can be saved. Against the devil, there are supposed to be great left hooks from out of nowhere bashing his silly face and uppercut gut punches sending him over the ropes. For that, the Lord’s apostles would need something really, really powerful. And that is why the Lord gave them His very Spirit.

THOSE WHO CLAIM TO KNOW OFTEN DON’T KNOW SQUAT

You have no doubt heard a lot of bullcorn over the years about the “Holy Spirit.” Much of it sounds pretty girly and is obviously sent forth by so-called Christians who don’t have a clue. The Lord said this would happen. They don’t have a clue because instead of being sent they just went. Most of them are lost in space and thus refer to the Holy Spirit as something spacey and ethereal, completely different than the mighty and powerful Spirit of the Lord Jesus. What they call the Holy Spirit is something else entirely. I will leave it to the Lord to work out all the blasphemy stuff in this regard because He said that’s what we must do, and He will work it out. But in the meantime the facts must be told and the facts in this regard are such that the men the Lord sent out originally were (1) Manly Men as opposed to girly men, and (2) Powerful filled-with-the-Spirit Manly Men instead of empty religious girly men. Whoever may want to argue with that is free to do so but the Word of God, if applied, will destroy those arguments.

This is why it is so refreshing, for men especially, to see what has just happened in this country. And it is just the start. It is a time of American men finally throwing off all the garbage laid on their backs for the last several decades and return to being what the Lord created them to be. This must especially happen in the Christian realm. Christian men must now actually become Christian men. There have been a few who have been advocating for this seemingly forever, as I have been, largely to no avail. Or they get it all twisted, or they turn it in the wrong direction, or they try to do it within a system that opposes it, which makes their fight meaningless and doomed to failure.

Somebody invented a weird doctrine long ago that says in order to be good Christian men, men must become women. But the facts are otherwise clear that God gave Adam permission to be a man when He created Him a man. Period. God never put Eve in charge of the orchard.

REVOLUTIONARY WAR

If we as Christians could only see that the Day of Pentecost marked a strikingly clear beginning—A REVOLUTION—and that the old was done away with and the new way truly came upon us, and that it meant we were supposed to engage as the Lord engaged and become the powerful spiritual people He had always planned for, then this new Great Awakening could come forth all the more.

Most Christians, however, insist on never going beyond the promise of the written gospels. Most Christians don’t even know the Book of Acts exists much less have read it and they certainly don’t live it.

He said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said to him, “No, we have not even heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” [Acts 19:2]

And there’s your problem. Far too many have taken on religious clowns as “leaders” and have been led right into the quicksand of unbelief. They have thoroughly rejected anything and everything that must transform us into the people the Lord needs to destroy the devil which means they have essentially made peace with the devil and succumbed to his leadership. They also reject the Lord’s powerful empowerment and insist on operating through sinful, wimpy, compromised, uncircumcised, and unregenerate flesh. As Napoleon Dynamite would say, “Idiot!”

The Lord said exactly the same thing about the religious leaders of his time. It is now time for their proponents of the present to get the same treatment. It is time for real Christian men in America to throw off the yoke of effete religious compromise and be what the Lord made them to be. The first step is repenting of fake compromised manhood and any glorification of flesh, and become as the Apostles and all the other men of the first century community of the Lord.

In the spiritual realm, all of our so-called manliness without Him, regardless of how it may be manifested, is just a little mound of estrogen with a pink ribbon around it. Spiritual estrogen is for women, and perhaps it could be the case that when Christian men become spiritual men, real spiritual women could quit carrying the burden. Nevertheless, most “Christian” get-togethers nowadays in America are devoid of testosterone by design and are nothing but mere estrogen fests doing their best to keep real men completely out of the loop, except for the one guy in the pulpit, of course.

THE HERO RIDES A WHITE HORSE

I will end this post with a portrait of the Founder. He has never changed. His message has never changed. HE IS A MAN YOU JUST DON’T MESS WITH. This has not stopped a horde of fakers from trying to do that very thing but their judgment is coming. They will never get away with it. Their little kindergarten show doesn’t fit the future. The good news for today is that their whitewash is coming off. This always happens when God opens the sky and sends a spiritual rain!

And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war. His eyes are a flame of fire, and on His head are many diadems; and He has a name written on Him which no one knows except Himself. He is clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God. [Revelation 19:11-13] [1]

  1. The Shepherd had a staff and a rod. “Lord, show us how to use your rod.”
    Thank You.

    • Thanks Gary. The Hebrew word for “rod” is shebet. Its first occurrence is in Genesis 49:10 and is translated as “scepter.” This verse is a prophetic statement from Jacob within his blessing to his son Judah and is a direct reference to the future Messiah who would descend from that tribe. Notice the shades of Revelation 19:13 which I quoted at the end of my post and the rich Messianic imagery within Jacob’s words:

“Judah is a lion’s whelp; from the prey, my son, you have gone up. He couches, he lies down as a lion, and as a lion, who dares rouse him up? The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor the ruler’s staff from between his feet, until Shiloh comes, and to him shall be the obedience of the peoples. He ties his foal to the vine, and his donkey’s colt to the choice vine; He washes his garments in wine, and his robes in the blood of grapes.” [Genesis 49:9-11]

  2. I love this, and I want to tell you about my manly man. Terry has always been willing to do whatever needs to be done, from changing a diaper to rebuilding and remodeling my kitchen. In the past four months, he has taken over all my household responsibilities. He has cooked, cleaned, shopped, laundered; and after my surgery, he tended my incision and didn’t flinch at some unexpected bleeding. He has made sure I have every comfort possible, including bringing a twin bed mattress and box spring from the basement to the living room so I can lie down if I want to.

He has done all this while continuing to suffer chronic pain from an injury of 4 1/2 years ago, pain that is debilitating and drains his physical strength and energy.

He is a man of God. He stands unashamed and unafraid in his testimony. I think one of the things I love the most about him is that doing “women’s work” doesn’t matter to him; he never feels demeaned or unmanly in doing what needs to be done.

When he has to rest, he usually does so while he reads his Bible.

    I am blessed beyond measure.

  3. Real men pray to God. Real men obey the Lord. Real men are baptized in the Holy Ghost and with fire.

Here is something that happened to me a number of years ago while I was working for this construction company back in Ames, Iowa:

    Dreams from the LORD 2003-2006
    24 March 2005

“I was working for Pike Construction back in Ames, Iowa and I was doing demolition work: I would use a sledgehammer and break down these brick and mortar walls, shovel it up into a garbage can and haul it out to this dump truck. One morning we got this new guy and he worked with me his first day. He was built like a brick house: he was around 5’ 9”, 235 pounds, had 19-inch biceps (that’s what he told me—maybe he only had 18-inch biceps)—he was a body builder. The second day he came to the job site, he said that he couldn’t keep up with me, so he would do carpenter work. That was okay with me because he had more experience than me in carpenter work. After about a week, this guy said to me, “Tim, how do you do it? You’re swinging that sledgehammer all day long and you don’t let up. Look at me; look at the size of my arms. Now look at you; look at the size of your arms (at the time I was 5’11” and 175 pounds). How do you do it? You never get tired.”

“I looked at him and said, “Because I am baptized in the Holy Ghost and with Fire!”

“The guy about had a heart attack. He didn’t know what to think. From that time on he would ask me questions about the Bible and spiritual things. So the moral of the story is: if you swing your sledgehammer in a responsible, Holy Ghost manner, someone eventually may enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”

    • That’s great, Tim! Made me laugh out loud. Well, yeah, we ARE talking about the eternal Lord God of all Creation allowing us to have His Spirit in such a way that we can handle it but powerful enough to make a giant difference.

I always think about the apostle Peter—Shimon—Kefa—who was bad enough to whip pretty much anybody and probably wasn’t shy about it either in his former life—being transformed from an impetuous, probably hot-tempered, and hard-working fisherman likely strong as an ox into a loving, tender, compassionate, mercy-oriented, self-effacing teddy bear of a man gloriously filled with His Master’s presence and thus able to do ministry the way His Master did ministry.

At least it appeared that way to others from without. He knew though, that it was the Lord operating through him and energizing him and anointing him, and he always let people know he was just a man, just a simple man, but the Lord’s Spirit within him was POWERFUL and capable of pretty much anything. Peter handled the anointing so well. He hit it clear out of the stadium on the Day of Pentecost, for example. This is why it is such a drag for Christian men to be forcibly emasculated as if that would make them closer to God. The opposite is true.

We must discipline ourselves and crucify the flesh, but we must also allow our spirit to be as strong and powerful and lively and healthy and effective as possible, and that can only happen by having our spirit super-charged with the Spirit of God.

Be blessed. Keep swinging that spiritual sledge.

  4. RJ, I have a question for you and not related to your post (which was awesome BTW). My pastor follows my blog (dangerous I know) and wasn’t exactly in agreement with me in regards to Jesus’ call for us to be servants as opposed to leaders. He actually requested that I research 1 Timothy 3 and make a new post on my blog! supporting something he calls ‘servant leaders’. What is your take on 1 Timothy 3 and why does it seem to endorse leadership in the church, i.e. overseers and deacons?

    • Thanks for the comment, Stephanie. Good question. The leadership issue is of great importance, of course, and we as Christians must seek to know exactly what the Lord taught on the issue and secondly how we must properly apply it. We have reams of examples illustrating all manner of leadership approaches during the Christian era of the past two thousand years, but most Christians settle into the usual historical approach toward leadership utilized by non-Christians, that of what we may call the “strong man.”

Millennia ago, when humanity was grouping into bands, the logical leader was the strongest man who impressed his will on the group. He may have been the strongest personality, the most driven, the best warrior, or simply the one with the greatest desire to take charge. In time, this simple leadership paradigm never changed but was used over greater numbers of people and populations. From it we get kings. It is why there arose great Sumerian leaders 5000 plus years ago, the greatest, of course, being Nimrod, who actually formed consortiums with lesser leaders and population centers to form the first empire (Genesis 10:8-9). This eventually developed into the great Egyptian Pharaohs and Roman Emperors. Thus, the idea that there must be one leader at the top of a pyramid, regardless of pyramid size, is universally accepted and seen as an overall general standard.

Here is what the Lord taught His disciples on one occasion regarding leadership:

“But do not be called Rabbi; for One is your Teacher, and you are all brothers. Do not call anyone on earth your father; for One is your Father, He who is in heaven. Do not be called leaders; for One is your Leader, that is, Christ. But the greatest among you shall be your servant.” [Matthew 23:8-11]

The Lord clearly told His disciples in these verses to not appropriate inappropriate titles, and He defined both. He spoke of both perspectives, that they must not take such titles or refer to others by such titles. He taught that He is their only Rabbi, or Teacher, and He meant this universally for all time. There were some who began bestowing far too much honor on particular rabbis or other leaders by giving them the title of “father” which the Lord said is reserved only for God. He also said to never use the term “leader” either for themselves or others.

The word “leader” is from the Greek word kathegetes. It only occurs in this verse in the New Testament. It is variously defined as a guide, instructor, teacher, director, or even doctor. It is the modern Greek word for professor. The best sense, however, is probably “master.” It denotes one of very high rank and respect, and included great men of the past. Even the title of rabbi had grown to mean more than a teacher and became one of high honor.

We should all be able to see what the Lord was getting at in this instruction. He was telling them that only He is deserving of these titles and only He can properly fulfill them. This is why it is so important to see the Lord as the real believers did in the first century, that He died, rose again, but remained with them instead of disappearing into heaven for an indefinite (long) period of time. His disciples acknowledged His presence among them. Thus, we should understand that human “leadership” must only be an extension of Him.

Regarding 1Timothy 3, we must know that the Lord did not create static “offices.” Such false “offices” have caused havoc within Christianity. Instead, He created places of service, or positions from which to serve. His emphasis was always on serving others and not being served.

Paul refers first to an episcope/episkopos. The various translations of this word have caused much confusion and disinformation, and some have taken full advantage of it to take control and authority where the Lord gave no control or authority. Episkope has been translated as an overseer or presiding elder, and defined as a superintendant, but it is mostly translated as and understood by the English word “bishop.” Again, many false leaders have jumped on this as a hierarchical position from which others must honor and serve them. This is the exact reason why the Lord taught the preceding lesson of Matthew 23:8-11.

Paul also speaks of a diakoneo/diakonos. This was another place of service though with a different objective. I have done long studies on these places of service and others and defined the distinctions between them which would be too much for this space, so I must restrict this comment to your original question as thus:

We are all brothers and sisters. We are all on the same spiritual plane. There is only one Leader and that is the Lord Jesus. The difference then, between those who have more authority in His real community and those who do not is simply the degree of their spiritual maturity. Those who grow in correct discipleship and become more mature spiritually, and knowledgeable, and humble will be given more authority. This is because the odds of the Lord working through them are greater. It is also because the Lord can trust them because they have been proven to honor Him. Also, their effectiveness in tangibly proven through the spiritual works they accomplish.

But we must never forget that the Lord stated very clearly and strongly that the greater leader would be the greater servant, which means growing as a more mature disciple also means developing as a greater servant. This is where the standard idea of Christian leadership should be completely exposed and destroyed because many of us know that most traditional Christian leadership positions are purely man-made and actually directly oppose the Lord’s definition.

This is also why Christianity in general does not work. It is upside down. The people in power demand to be served and the people out of power are conditioned to demand “leadership.” I call this Unreal Christianity. Though it is the dominant form it only means it is that much more wrong. It should be obvious that the Lord Jesus is the only one deserving of honor and leadership and those who insist on taking His place instead of serving Him and others are actually anti-leaders and the blind leaders of the blind. Their model does not work, is completely ineffective, has no significant spiritual power, and represents no threat to the devil.

      Thanks again. Be blessed.
