Blood Moon Deception

.
The first so-called “Blood Moon” is almost here. It will begin tonight after midnight, April 15, about 1:00AM CDT.
As an interesting sidenote, Mars, the red planet, was at its closest and brightest position to Earth for the year at 8AM CDT this morning.
.
Regarding the term “Blood Moon,” the terminology is not at all scientific, but relates to three Biblical verses relating to prophecy. The following are the only verses in the entire Bible in which the words blood and moon occur together:
The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the LORD comes. [Joel 2:31]
“THE SUN WILL BE TURNED INTO DARKNESS AND THE MOON INTO BLOOD, BEFORE THE GREAT AND GLORIOUS DAY OF THE LORD SHALL COME.” [Acts 2:20]
I looked when He broke the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood; [Revelation 6:12] [1]
These passages seem to be pointing toward a total solar eclipse and a total lunar eclipse.
During a solar eclipse, the Moon passes directly between the Sun and the Earth, and blocks the Sun’s light upon the Earth. As a result the Sun appears as a black disc with an outer penumbra.
During a lunar eclipse, the Earth passes directly between the Sun and the Moon, casting its shadow upon the Moon and blocking the Sun’s light upon it. Due to the Earth’s atmosphere, the Moon is shaded in a light red color. Hence the term, “Blood Moon.”
Yet, these prophecies do not seem to portend the usual eclipses, which happen with much regularity. Also, since it is impossible for a solar eclipse and a lunar eclipse to happen at the same time, the verses possibly denote the two total eclipses happening fairly close together.
However, when we add the Revelation account during the Sixth Seal to the verse from Joel, it is possible that these are not eclipses at all. It could be that the great earthquake, which could also involve great volcanic activity, causes the blackout of the Sun and dark red color of the Moon.
Regarding the lunar eclipse that will take place tonight, there has been much notoriety of their occurrences happening on Hebrew Feast Days (or close to them). There will be four of these “Blood Moons,” two this year and two in 2015. These four eclipses are known in scientific terms as lunar tetrads, and are not necessarily rare events, having taken place 54 times in the last 20 centuries, and will occur 8 more times this century.
Incidentally, no tetrads occurred during the Lord’s time on the planet, or during the entire first century AD.
Also, it must be noted that tonight’s lunar eclipse will not be seen in Israel, nor will any of the four eclipses be seen is Israel. This makes any prophetic connection to Israel highly unlikely. It must also be pointed out that The Hebrew Feast dates in question always fall on full moons. Therefore, it is inevitable that some lunar eclipses will take place on these dates.
The reason I say this is because many people are teaching that these lunar eclipses portend something special regarding the nation of Israel.
But everyone must know that if it turns out that way, it will only be because Israel took advantage of the timing of these eclipses and the propaganda associated with them.
What Christians should be noting is not Israel, but America. These are American eclipses. They will each be seen here. What they actually portend may be something still completely off the radar of most Christians:
There is a national GREAT AWAKENING coming forth at this writing.
It would be good for Americans and American Christians in general to get their eyes off Israel for a few seconds and look at their own country. God has a rich history here and He is about to bring something forth that is very dramatic.
PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES, AS WE SEE THESE SIGNS IN THE SKY, AND CONTINUE TO SEEK THE LORD FOR AMERICA.

RJ, thanks for this information about the moon. I did have the pleasure of viewing it on a clear night here in southern California.

Great! I saw most of it but didn’t quite make it to the end. I did see a very clear red moon I think about three years ago or so. It was directly overhead and quite the spectacle. Thanks for reading.

I am pretty sure that the sun turning to darkness represents Christ which lights every man and the moon tuning to blood represents the woman, the church.

That’s an interesting allegorical take on the topic, Robert. Thanks. I have heard the moon referred to as the Church, or the Lord’s community, in that it has no light of its own but reflects the light of the sun, or the Son—the Lord Jesus, through His indwelling Spirit. The moon, of course, doesn’t actually revolve around the earth in a perfect sense, as much as it revolves and weaves its way around, through, and with the Earth’s orbit, if I remember correctly from college astronomy. The earth and the moon work in tandem. The point being that the moon is both separate and connected, as the Lord’s community—The Community of the Called-Out Ones—is both of the earth but separate from it.
And yes, an eclipse of the sun can certainly mean an eclipse of the Lord’s light from the earth through humanity’s rebellion and sin. Could a so-called blood moon, a lunar eclipse, also denote Christian persecution? (There are never Great Awakenings without persecution.)

Thank you brother. I remember that Joseph had a dream in which the sun the moon and the stars bowed down to him. His father Israel replied “shall I and your mother and your brothers bow down to you?” I believe that our fight is spiritual and not carnal and in Rev. 12 and Daniel 12 Micheal will stand up for the people of God and there will be a war in heaven, where the powers of heaven shall be shaken, the stars shall fall out of the sky, not literal stars, but like Josephs brothers who were called the stars and the devil will be cast out down to the earth, the accuser of the brethren cast down. I believe there is so much understanding and prophecy we miss because we are not understanding the spiritual, instead like all good dispensationalist, we have been taught to interpret scriptures “literally” , except the one where it says “you shall be a tree planted by the rivers of living water”. Thank you for speaking with me bro., I think the Lord is giving me understanding on some of these things and I hope you will take the time to let me know what you think about it.

Good points, Robert. I think there is that fine line which either is or is not so correct and/or necessary, in which we attempt to interpret allegorically while remaining steadfast toward orthodoxy. Truth is truth, but the Word of God without doubt uses much allegory, almost at times, it seems, like it’s going out of style, while certain down-to-earthers and religious rednecks refuse to touch it for fear of going off the deep end and falling from their social standing. Regardless though, there is a balancing act of sorts. I touch on this often, as in my recent series about parables. As real believers, we sometimes reach points in our spiritual trek in which we must rethink things and allow the Lord to show us something we might have been blind to, and sometimes willingly. Thanks again for the comment.

I just stumbled across your site and I must say that it’s quite good. (I know you don’t need my approval, but it’s nice to get compliments now and again.) I”m also aware of the coming Great Awakening – and the persecution that goes with it. I don’t think I’m wrong to believe that the persecution with this move will be greater than any persecution Americans would believe could happen here. To say it will be ugly in an understatement. I was sent from where I was to where I am because of what’s to come. All of my prophetic friends feel there is a great move coming as well as great persecution, sooner rather than later, We’re almost to the point of holding our collective breath. I’ve been trying to warn people in the denomination I was sent to, but they shut their ears to the message and ignore me.

Thanks for stopping by and for the comment. Like everything else spiritually discerned, some see things and some don’t. The Lord Himself would certainly be looked upon in many churches and Christian groups today as He was then among His own, in that so many found a problem with Him and had many illegitimate reasons to denounce Him. Many “Christians” continue in this exact behavior. It was the same with OT prophets. But both prevailed and the majority failed. The majority always got it wrong and continues to get it wrong with regard to what the Lord is doing at whatever time.
Regarding the Great Awakening, its arrival is actually inevitable, since the enemy will continue bringing increased rejection and persecution of real Christians regardless of anything else. But real Christians cannot simply surrender to the enemy and will not. Fighting back means growing ever-closer to The Lord Jesus. It means praying more, working harder, witnessing more, and doing all the things the Lord taught. By now, so many Christians have seen the futility of doing “Christain” things that don’t work and only help a few that they will no longer let their great efforts be expended in losing methods.
Persecution always strengthens the Lord’s people. The gates of hell shall not prevail, but that’s only because the Lord Jesus will continue to fight to bring His Light and all of His own will fight with Him. This is a great time. We must focus on the Lord and stand our ground. Millions of people love the Lord and serve Him. We’re winning.

Amen! Funny how the Lord leads us; just yesterday I was led to reblog this article written in August about Donald Trump (the first time He led me to post a political piece): https://thelordiswithus.com/2016/10/17/what-to-expect-in-the-next-six-months/
