CHRISTIAN BRAINWASHING IS REAL
There are Christians so indoctrinated they will reject even the most elementary teachings of the Lord Jesus if His teachings violate their “Christian” beliefs.
.
Rather than brainwashing, we may call it by less pejorative terms such as the aforementioned religious indoctrination or one of the following however it may apply: Training, conditioning, influencing, and even programming. Much of religion, if not all, uses such a process to gain low-denominator sycophants. It can go so far as to create mind-numbed robots who accept and believe things not because they are true but because they have been put forth as true for the sake of an ulterior agenda. Brainwashing/indoctrination is therefore a completely different process than what the Lord Jesus employs in making disciples—He is a Teacher. He teaches spiritual truth. He never uses coercion. He doesn’t force feed supposed facts and figures in a highly impressionable manner in the effort to stamp one’s mind. He doesn’t use manipulation or control tactics. He loves His disciples first and foremost and treats them accordingly. He obviously never violates His own commandments.
SEE IF YOU CAN FIGURE THIS OUT:
I was talking to a person once about the Bible. This person was a member in good standing of a particular Christian denomination. When the subject of the accuracy of the Bible came up this person said one can never believe what the Bible says overall which means all of it cannot still be true after all these years and that there must have been changes made to it since the beginning and it must contain errors.
There was nothing I could say.
It was not a matter of possible minor transmission miscues here or there in our Bibles, though some translations are better than others, but the fact that this person belonged to a Christian denomination based on the very Bible that was supposedly hopelessly flawed and which one could not put one’s faith in. This person just revealed belief in a flawed Bible yet belongs to a Christian denomination. Where is the logic in that? In other words, this person likely never read the Bible or very little of it and has little or no faith in its truth and accuracy but still wholeheartedly and faithfully belongs to a particular Christian denomination. If this is not the effect of pure religious brainwashing then what is?
FIGURATIVE LANGUAGE
By the way, my long time approach on this site has contained an effort at being parabolic with the truth in an effort toward promoting critical thinking. I want the teaching to be thought-provoking and stimulating. The Lord obviously did this and it worked great in that it drew out an understanding of otherwise hidden truths. He also used parables as a way to bypass religious indoctrination and mindsets set in stone. Rather than state otherwise plain truth and Scriptural truth in what some or many may perceive as being antagonistic toward personal beliefs (which happen to be incorrect) or see such teaching as too “preachy” (because it brings on conviction of sin and makes one feel uncomfortable), using the parabolic method compels one to ponder before emoting, the latter of which often causes one to reject truth.
Yet, though this method works well it cannot be used exclusively. There were other times, of course, when the Lord spoke the truth directly and very powerfully. He even told His disciples once that He would dispense with allegory altogether and would no longer teach them in such a way, probably because they reached a point of greater maturity and could handle it. He said He would do this primarily with regard to His true identity:
“These things I have spoken to you in figurative language; an hour is coming when I will no longer speak to you in figurative language, but will tell you plainly of the Father.” [John 16:25]
MY LATEST POSTS
This has been brewing for a while. There have been times in the past when I have been more direct and less allegorical. However, I have felt compelled to step it up this year, especially after what I went through in the spring when it appeared I would never write again. Such an occurrence can compel a different mindset. When the Lord blessed and I was able to resume writing again in mid-summer, three and a half months later, though not at my previous pace, I decided on being more direct. I am still dealing with the situation so my mindset has not changed. Some of you may have noticed that my posts as of late contain a higher level of Scriptural truth and even more general truth than usual and that I have been addressing topics which appear controversial (to put it mildly). When one does this he or she must know there will be a cost.
On a good note, however, I want to extend my sincerest thanks to one gracious reader who put a link to my site on hers. I greatly appreciate it. I also thank the few of you who are still here with much appreciation and also to new readers. Blessings to all.
BEHIND THE LOOKING GLASS
But when the Pharisees heard that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered themselves together. One of them, a lawyer, asked Him a question, testing Him, “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” And He said to him, “‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.” [Matthew 22:34-40]
Regarding my previous post about the Israeli-Hamas war, which was apparently the post that caused the most negative reaction thus far (though the posts I wrote on The Real Chosen People did well in that area also), I had decided to begin shining some light on the goings on in the Middle East including mentioning the war crimes of the state of Israel (uh-oh). Talk about exposing sacred heifers.
You see, once a Christian decides to go all in with the modern state of Israel and support it blindly and unquestionably, there is absolutely nothing Israel can do in their eyes that is considered wrong or sinful even if it means murdering and maiming innocent babies and small children by the thousands—blowing them to pieces and crushing them beneath destroyed buildings and infrastructure.
Such look-the-other-way support demands a corresponding hardening of the heart.
Many thousands of innocent women have also been murdered and maimed in the ongoing Gaza campaign. I must assumed these include young women, married women with children, middle-aged women, older women with grandchildren, and even elderly and infirm women. Helpless women and children are being murdered but are only considered mere collateral damage. Some of these are Christians. YET, MILLIONS OF CHRISTIANS IN AMERICA SUPPORT THIS ONGOING MASSACRE UNEQUIVOCALLY.
How can this happen? It has not occurred, of course, without considerable assistance from the biased major media yet such does not absolve one of personal responsibility. It is otherwise obvious that such Christians are no longer considering or obeying the Lord’s teachings but have transferred their allegiance to another whether they know it or not. Perhaps the following may cause Zionist Christians to give a second’s thought to their allegiance:
“Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? So every good tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot produce bad fruit, nor can a bad tree produce good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. So then, you will know them by their fruits.” [Matthew 7:15-20]
It also reminds one of this:
And following Him was a large crowd of the people, and of women who were mourning and lamenting Him. But Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. For behold, the days are coming…” [Luke 23:27-29]
Unless one is 100% true to the Lord Jesus one will place their allegiance elsewhere and consequently be subject to deception. Also, major Christian ministries, including major Christian television ministries, have now been outed for what they are, at least in part. Until they stop supporting this ongoing wanton murder of innocents which thereby influences millions of Christians to also support it, and call out this evil for what it is, they are revealing themselves in part as veiled propaganda outfits with alternative agendas and hidden paymasters.
And that brings the following to mind:
“He who is faithful in a very little thing is faithful also in much; and he who is unrighteous in a very little thing is unrighteous also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the use of unrighteous wealth, who will entrust the true riches to you? And if you have not been faithful in the use of that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own?
“No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth.”
Now the Pharisees, who were lovers of money, were listening to all these things and were scoffing at Him. And He said to them, “You are those who justify yourselves in the sight of men, but God knows your hearts; for that which is highly esteemed among men is detestable in the sight of God.” [Luke 16:10-15][1]
So yes Virginia, there is such a thing as Christian brainwashing. Such Christians go to churches that don’t fully support the Word of God or even believe it is real, violate the teachings of the Lord Jesus, even the most elementary such as the Golden Rule, and most do not even bother to read His teachings or study them. They also support feigning insincere hypocrites doing vile things to innocents. They even go so far as to believe they must bless such people or God will never bless them and will even get them.
What about blessing real Christians—the Real Chosen People? Above all, what about blessing the Lord Jesus? Does God attach any great blessings to the one who blesses the Lord Jesus?
Now, in case you may be wondering, there is only one cure for such Christian brainwashing. Christians who know this know what it is.
Sadly, Christians who don’t will likely reject it (or already have).

I’m praying God’s good keeping and for a turnaround in your challenges, RJ.
Regarding your recent posts on Israel, dialogue is essential. There is no excusing war, terrorism and harms perpetrated deliberately against people anywhere at anytime, from any “camp”, but such is the cruel reality of a sinful fallen world, as evidenced throughout Bible and world history.
In terms of Israel and Palestine (Philistia), I find the teachings of Pastor Chuck Missler (now at home with the Lord) very helpful in understanding God’s unconditional love for and promises to Israel including at the end of the ages. Pastor Missler’s Bible teaching includes his series, ‘The Betrayal of the Chosen’ Part 1: https://youtu.be/hy64fcBx_cc?si=yuAlrCUHbU9T_n-5 and Part 2: https://youtu.be/DLohhhjXiOg?si=52uQN2nvnpmH-yyb
Praying for your blog success. IMHO…I have never much bothered about spam followers— I am sure many people (like me) follow dozens of blogs daily and some followers are speed-reading and liking for the sake of time management. I get it, and I leave it at that, and I always thank God for every “follow”, knowing if it leads to some light shining through darkness, it is all worthwhile. Shalom and blessings.

Thank you Susan. I was running short of time and energy yesterday and wanted to address your comment properly. First of all, thank you very much for your prayers. You must be an intercessor!
We have been blogging friends for many years and I appreciate your comment. I know we agree on most if not all of the majors and, of course, on the accuracy of the Word of God—the cure for “Christian brainwashing.” We likely do not agree in part and in general on the state of Israel but I believe you agreed with my assessments in this post regarding the murder of innocents in Gaza though a sad fact of war. We can discuss this further if you like. I certainly welcome dialogue on the subject although it is one requiring extremely extensive content, usually far too much for this medium. It is why I don’t really want to get into arguments about it, both because it demands a massive amount of material to discuss going back over a century and also because Christian Zionists in general have extremely strong views and beliefs and are not shy about going into attack mode. I know it will never be an argument with you, however, and I am all for good dialogue.
Regarding Chuck Missler, I remember watching him on several video formats many years ago. He had made up his mind on what he would believe and teach and was confident he was correct. However, the majority if not all of his content was prior to the Great Awakening in which so much new previously unknown content regarding the state of Israel has been made available and has come to light. I did no research on him in making this reply to you.
In the past, Christians and Christian leaders/teachers had limited access to the full historical story. However, since at least the year 2010 in late August when the Lord revealed to me the fact that we were in the early stages of a national Great Awakening, it means that whatever was known before then was limited and incomplete and soon became greatly dated. There is much new material that Christians must be aware of in order to gain a better understanding of the big picture.
Susan, I have done a massive amount of research on this subject, as I have on a massive amount of other subjects regarding Biblical research, and have access to a great amount of content. I have also written an extensive amount of notes on this subject and connected many, many dots. The brief content I put out on this site does not do my overall knowledge level much justice because WP formats are generally limited and most readers are not interested in long reads. This kind of writing must generally be saved for books but writing and publishing books costs money and it takes money to publicize such information. I am still willing to dialogue, however, though it may make for some long threads!
It has been a tough slog as of late in losing so many readers. I am still not sure if it’s my content or some other cause. Also, I removed a section of this post which the final paragraph in your comments refers to because it appeared to take away from the main content. I have taken your advice though.
Again, I greatly appreciate your prayers. I have prayed for you also. I hope all is well. I value your blogging friendship and thank you for your continual support. Keep up the great work over there.
Blessings

I appreciate the insight you are giving me, to a world I know nothing about. The only thing I know is that the bible said Israel is the chosen people. But I also read that Israel chose many times to give up on the Father and not believe. Each generation goes through their time of not believing and then He would send a messenger and the people would come back to Him. So in my mind they are human just like the rest of us and fall away from the truth and get caught up in the teachings of man. The Bible is a huge book and very hard to understand without asking for guidance from our Father on opening our hearts and minds to what He expects from us. He lets us understand more and more as we are willing to learn I think. But like you wrote, there are many false teachers out there and it has to come from within us as to who we believe. As I read the word itself, those words from our Father, they touch my heart first and foremost, so then I can decipher what I hear from man as to what I need to see and hear. For example, I know a couple people that argue about the earth being round or flat. The one person insist he is right, this person is the same person that consistently says that the Jewish people own everything and that irritates him to no end. He waste so many hours of his life feeling and talking so negative about these subjects, religion and politics that he is missing out on the life that is right in front of him. I told him, what difference does it make if it is round or flat, when we stand before our Father all these questions will be answered and the hours spent arguing over these things will not have changed the outcome of his mindset at all. For me, I want to know what is going on in the world so that I can be prepared for what surrounds me, I don’t walk blindly, but I do walk with our Father and know His word above all else is what matters and that there are folks like you, who are being used by our Father to help others understand. To help others to ask questions and learn more. I will continue to share your writings on social media sites so maybe others might read your words and start to think about what is going on around them. Folks have a very short attention span now a days, due to social media I think. So reading is becoming a lost art, is this a sign of satan’s work? Hmmm, thank you RJ

Thank you Sandra. I appreciate it. Your support makes a world of difference.
Regarding the ancient nation of Israel being the Chosen People, this was true at one time but the nation continually rejected God, as you stated, until it at last rejected Him completely. The New Testament clearly states that one cannot have the Father without the Son and that whoever rejects the Son also rejects the Father. I have written on this subject in past posts as you know.
The Bible is easier understood with the assistance of the Lord’s indwelling Holy Spirit. His disciples often had a hard time understanding some of His teachings during His ministry but He told them they would gain greater ability once the Comforter had come. We see this big change in their lives when the Comforter—the Holy Spirit—arrived among the 120 in the Upper Room at Pentecost. Afterwards they were different people in that they were empowered as better disciples to do the Lord’s work, which included having a better understanding and greater knowledge of Scripture.
We know as Christians there are two ways of receiving knowledge. We can read and study written material and be taught by others orally using such mediums, but one can also receive direct revelation from the Lord. This latter knowledge, however, must dovetail with Scripture. One should know, though, that the Bible does not necessarily contain all knowledge, at least not overtly. There is also much that needs more work to understand and figure out.
This is why the Lord gives greater understanding through revelation. Also, it is very often the case that we are taught wrong and given incorrect interpretations that cover over truth and the Lord must then remove that cover so our spiritual eyes can be opened. There are many things presented in this world as truth that are actually lies. We must therefore do our own research. We must therefore pray and seek the Lord. It is good that you walk with the Father and seek and honor Him.
Sandra, I greatly appreciate your help in getting the word out about my work. Things have become quite difficult as of late. It is hard for me to understand why. I have always had a very hard time gaining any support but I know the material is good by what so many have told me through the years. But there has been so much rejection and misunderstanding. It is why I so appreciate you for your honest heart and friendship. I know you have been sent by the Lord and it makes me greatly humbled and appreciative.
I think social media is both good and bad depending on our attitudes and how we use it. In fact, I found you on WordPress a few years back but I cannot remember just how. I was searching or simply noticed your site from another. But I know the Lord was leading me. It is likely the case with other social media.
So again, we both know social media is a great tool but can never replace other good and necessary things like reading books. We must not let it cause one to have a short attention span or become dependent on it to too great a degree or we will likely get “brainwashed” by the ulterior agendas of such platforms, that which most people are apparently unaware of, and not seek knowledge and truth from the Bible and other sources.
Blessings!

Brainwashing it is especially true for the younger generation. Our only hope is that they get a glimpse of articles like yours that make them stop and want to read more. Sometimes it just takes one word. 😊

You probably have already written about Revelation. I would love to hear more on that. What exactly is taking the mark? I have read so many different interpretations of what that means, mostly that it is not a physical thing. People are talking a lot about the end times because of what is going on in Israel.

Thanks. Every time something even slightly new happens in Israel many Christians characterize it as being about the “end times.” I’ve been doing this (reading, studying, researching) in some way or another my entire life and remember all the significant events of the past fifty plus years and have also done much research on the modern state of Israel going back to the time it was first thought of and considered in the late 1800s.
Regarding actual prophecy, most of it regarding this subject is incorrect and part on an agenda. Due to all the research I have done I have gained a much better understanding of the Book of Revelation and can tell you that most interpretations are simply not correct. The only way to prove this, though, since it requires so much information for people to consider and learn, is to write a book (a long one). Otherwise people will only get part of the information at a time and will most likely react negatively toward it since it does not line up with what they have been taught and thus never get to the truth.
Regarding the mark of the beast, I have also gone through all the possibilities of what it means that have ever come up starting from when I was born again in 1976 and first read the Book of Revelation. Back then the official interpretations were seriously elementary and often pretty stupid. But because they were “official” (pronounced by ministers recognized by a great majority) most Christians accepted them. Back then, people thought there would be tattoos of numbers on a person’s forehead and hand, for example. Then, when the early barcodes became more well-known, people thought the tattoos would actually be barcodes stamped on the skin. Then it would be a computer chip planted under the skin.
Though I initially believed in the very beginning because I didn’t know any better, I eventually looked at all this like the joke it was because I reached a point when I could clearly see that all the prophecy teachers and ministers and pastors didn’t know what the hell they were talking about and were only reacting to whatever new technology came forth and were mainly giving their not-so-great opinions.
Remember, the Book of Revelation was written in the first century AD almost two thousand years ago. John saw what he saw in the spirit and tried to describe it the best he could and the Lord was perfectly fine with what John wrote and signed off on it. However, times would change but no one had any idea back then how much.
Regarding the actual application of the mark, the point the Lord was making is that it would involve both the person’s mind (the forehead) and his or her work (the right hand). In other words, whatever one did regarding making a living and surviving in this world would be subject to the mark and whatever one believed and what one knew as truth would be subject to the mark. People would thus be programmed or brainwashed and told what they must believe. Their work would also be in total subjection to the beast. This means the entirety of the person. One would be submitting wholesale to the beast by taking the mark of the beast. This means they would have rejected the Lord Jesus and refused to follow and trust Him.
Also, the prophecy teachers of our time (over the last 60 years or so, especially), all referred/refer to the events of Revelation as something about to happen in our time or the immediate future. Yet Revelation says nothing about such speculation. People thus take the Book of Revelation out of the context of the entire New Testament and the times when it was written. The experts of today even get the date of writing wrong, stating it occurred late in the first century about 90-95AD. It was actually written about 63AD just prior to all or most of the events it was describing.
In other words, as I have said here many times, the New Testament refers to the “end times” as the time in which the New Testament was written. It was the “end of the age,” which meant the end of national Israel. It was the very end times of that nation and all associated with it. The Lord prophesied directly about this very thing during His ministry and then it happened just like He said it would by 70AD. Jerusalem and the Temple were destroyed. It was over. The nation of Israel rejected its Messiah and Savior and thus suffered complete ruin.
But the prophecy boys, either because they were lying on purpose as part of an agenda or just because they were ignorant and not hearing from God said today (the 1970s) comprised the “end times.” But nothing happened according to their predictions then. And since then the “end times” have been stretched out with each succeeding decade but the events of Revelation still have not happened. This means according to their false predictions we are still in the Book of Revelation “end times” today.
I probably need to stop here for now. (I told you I must write a book.) In the meantime you can look up all the mentions of the mark in Revelation (there are only seven). But please, Sandra, keep asking questions if you have any. I love my work and appreciate serving you. Thanks

This is what I understand the mark to be as well. It makes more sense. With all the churches that I have been to in the past, not one spoke of revelation. Thank you for this.

I’m blogging through Psalm 106 right now, which details the history of Israel in the wilderness;, the sin they committed and God’s dealing with His people for their sin. It’s clear that Israel, while they are God’s chosen, is not free of sin and idolatry, selfishness, complaining, etc. For me, the miracle is that God always restores Israel once they have been punished and convinced of their need for Him. I’m watching what is happening now with great interest, great concern, and great hope.

There is no hope whatsoever without the Lord Jesus. The New Testament is very clear on this. The teachings of the Lord Jesus deal with this issue specifically. He said whoever is not with Him is against Him. John wrote that if one does not have the Son then one does not have the Father. Real Christians are God’s Chosen People. There is no longer any covenant with those who broke the covenant with God and have no intention of repenting for it or trying to be reconciled to God. By continuing to indiscriminately murder many thousands of non-combatant innocent children and defenseless women, the modern state of Israel is proving what it actually is for all the world to see. Real Christians do not support this wickedness and can never support it or the perpetrators thereof.
Thanks for reading, Linda. Blessings to you and Merry Christmas
